G is for Graphospasm - ABCW

G is for Graphospasm which means a writer's cramp.

Yes, you heard it right!

This can be related to the muscular spasms of thumb and forefinger while writing with a pen or pencil or even on the keyboard!

I can't believe i actually found a word for this.

It's quite funny in one way.

When I was in high school, the homework was so much at one point that my fingers would hurt a lot.

Even worse moments occurred during the exams in college.

Since i hardly wrote and maintained notes, during exams i wrote so much crap in the paper that my hand felt like it would detach any moment!

Jokes apart, can you let me know if  you ever suffered from Graphospasm?

I'm sure we all have gone through this.

Let's hear some stories!

F is for Fadoodle - ABCW

F is for Fadoodle which means nonsense.

The plain reason I chose this word is due to the funny way this word sounds like.

Nonsense is present in every speech.
There’s always someone in every group who speaks utter nonsense from time to time.
Very honestly he/she is doing the group a huge favor.
It’s due to their nonsensical thoughts that awaken our brain cells from time to time.

Yes!

They speak nonsense.
Our brains are awoken with those silly words and we either ponder upon it or speak back.
In any way, that’s good right?

Selfish Lent

The season of Lent began on the 10th of February this year. It will go on till the next 40ish days until the 27th of March when we will celebrate Easter.

Lent is a season of fasting. The definition of fasting varies from person to person and cannot be quantified. The main purpose being that we sacrifice something during this time for the sake of the Lord.

Here is where I'd like to focus my attention.

The main basis of lent is not sacrifice, but change. If we cannot change, cannot bring a change in others then what good is your sacrifice?

What happens after 40 days?

We get back to ground zero. We are back to who we were. All the sacrifice and change goes down the drain. Some will decide to read a verse or chapter of the bible for the next 40 days. OKAY. That's awesome.
What after that?
You stop. Imagine, even after reading the book for a good straight 40 days anyone can fall in love with it but then it's Easter now and we don't need to read it so.... Let it be kept back at the altar or inside the attic, right?

Many of us would keep the fast not for the sake of penitence but just because we are supposed to. We wouldn't like it but mom and dad have told us to, so we have to keep it. That's harsh.
Fast from your heart. If your heart says no, then don't fast. Because doing it for 40 days without a purpose is plainly meaningless.

I'd like to end this post with a short story which i heard during last week in church.\

"A woman came to a priest and said that she loved lent but hated Easter.
The priest got curious and asked her the reason for her thought.
She replied that her husband during lent would not drink for 40 days.
The priest said that she must be happy that he doesn't drink.
She said that during those 40 days, he doesn't come home drunk and hit me.
The priest understood where her story was heading to.
She then said at easter night when Jesus Christ is rising, the devil inside my husband rises too.
He'll drink and remove all the pent up anger and beating on me till he's happy."

What do you make of this story?

E is for Ecdemomania - ABCW

E is for Ecdemomania which means an abnormal/obsessive compulsion for wandering/travelling.

Yay, I’m so happy!

I’ve finally found a word which can describe that obsessive traveler within us.

Never knew that there would be a word to describe people with the travel bug.

Personally, I find the need to travel almost every 2-3 months.

Honestly I’d like to travel every month, but you know how work-life sometimes sucks the life out of

you. Thus I need to explore some new place/revisit a place I’ve been to once in every

quarter a year.

I just wanted you guys to know about this word and finally we have a word that defines

that sudden urge to travel places.

D is for Dipsomania which means an abnormal craving for alcohol.

(Yes, now I know a word which can define craving for alcohol!!)

Dipsomania doesn’t just mean craving for alcohol. It technically means craving for any type of liquid.

So if I had to ask you what liquid do you crave for the most, what would your answer be?

Please don’t say water! That’s basic. Let’s hear something else that you crave for.

Here's what i crave for - TEA

Yes.. I need at least 3 or more doses of it every day.

Now it's your turn to answer.

Do comment below.
